Late-May 2016: My Crataegus monogyna/Common Hawthorn up on the work-bench this morning. It had failed to flower but had issued dozens of flowering spurs this Spring, so I'm hopeful it would be covered in flowers next May.

Late May 2016: By the end of May, the growing season was fully underway in my garden.
Early June 2016: Working on a yamadori Scots Pine at the 2016 Chiltern Bonsai Society Show in Marlow, England.
Early June 2016: Before and After images of the work I carried out on a yamadori Scots Pine at the 2016 Chiltern Bonsai Society Show in Marlow, England. Despite its imressive trunkbase, the Scots Pine had a very long cascading branch with the only foliage a long way from the base. The purpose of my demonstration was to bend the thick branch back on itself to bring the foliage back.
