Summer 2003. A new shallower pot and fuller foliage.
Autumn colour 2003. As temperatures drop during the Autumn, many of the leaves will change colour and fall.
Winter 2003. A large portion of deadwood at the back of the tree became detached from the live wood; it was found that the tree had actually rooted into the soft pulpy deadwood and was forcing the two halves apart. I decided to remove the deadwood and plant the tree on a piece of stone.
A suitable piece of stone was found and carved to fitin the gap snugly. The tree and stone were then bonded together.
Winter 2003. After work has finished the remaining leaves left on the tree are removed to enable pruning.
August 2006. 3 years later and the bonsai is still going strong........
.......And it still produces flowers in abundance!
