Elm Bonsai Carving and Styling

Ligustrum ovalifolium/Common Privet Bonsai. Height 15″/37cm. Developed from an old hedgerow tree collected in 2004

This Elm bonsai started life as an old tree stump just 4 years ago! Using bonsai techniques of pruning, wiring and carving, the tree has rapidly developed into what it is today.

In this video I show the carving and styling of an old Field Elm raft bonsai.
