B4MePublishing / Bonsai Books for Sale
Bonsai Books by Harry Harrington and B4MePublishing.
Harry Harrington was born in Oxford, UK in 1970 and after 20 years in and around Manchester now lives near the Chiltern Hills in Aylesbury.
Harry started bonsai as a hobby nearly 20 years ago whilst working as a gardener. Harry started working professionally as a bonsai artist and writer in 2000.
His website www.bonsai4me.com started life as a collection of private notes about bonsai that were published as 'Species Guides' in 2001; the first comprehensive study of plant species suitable for bonsai available online. Since that time Bonsai4me has grown on an annual basis and now attracts over 1.5million different visitors each year from around the world.
The success and popularity of the 'Progression Series' (articles and photo-series showing the development of a bonsai over many years) at Bonsai4me.com has led to Harry writing and publishing 3 books on the subject via B4MePublishing; Bonsai Inspirations 1 originally published in 2011 and updated as Bonsai Inspirations 1 (2nd Edition) in 2014.
Bonsai Inspirations 2 was published in 2012, and re-released as Bonsai Inspirations 2 (2nd Edition)in 2019.
Copies of these titles have been distributed to nearly 50 countries around the world.
Harry's first book based on Bonsai4me.com itself , 'Bonsai Basics: The Foundations of Bonsai' was originally released as an e-book only in February 2013, but was then published in paperback on March 20th 2015.
Harry continues to write for bonsai4me.com and further books are planned for the future. He teaches and runs workshops in the area around London and is frequently commissioned to undertake styling work on client's trees. Harry specializes in turning poor quality material into works of art and enjoys the challenge of styling 'unsuitable' material for bonsai.

“Harry Harrington’s approach is very genuine and refreshing. His bonsai creations are way beyond the traditional styles you see today, and that makes his bonsai so very personal. In his new book you will get a good insight of his approach on his bonsai art. A real must-have for those aiming for creativity.”
Farrand Bloch – Editor Bonsai Focus magazine.
“If you are interested in quality bonsai, and don't have the resources or inclination to spend a lot of money getting started, Harry Harrington's approach might be just what you are looking for.
What Harry does with inexpensive, undeveloped and sometimes unattractive material is pure inspiration, almost unique in our world bonsai community. Harry starts with whatever he can find, or whatever people bring him. Bonsai with humble origins and hidden potential.
I think most of us can learn a lot from this approach. And save some of our hard-earned money while we're at it.”
Wayne Schoech – Owner, Stone Lantern Publishing and Bonsai Bark.
