Product Details

Prunus avium/Wild Cherry bonsai collected from the infamous 'Hill' 3 years ago by myself. Very close in appearance to Prunus spinosa/Blackthorn, older Wild Cherry have jet black bark and white flowers in early Spring

Unfortunately the tree died-back in the year after collection but is now healthy and strong, ready for development and styling. However, the trunk will need chopping down to the highest branch, just 2" above the soil surface.

This Wild Cherry has the potential of becoming a superb yamadori shohin (less than 6" in height) in the right hands and with some development.

The tree is planted in 100% inorganic soil.

As with all bonsai available on the bonsai4me.com/shop, this tree has been treated with Danu from ProBio Carbon to encourage disease resistance and bushier, better distributed growth habit.

Current height 6"/15cm to the top of the trunkchop.
The highest branch emerges from the trunk at 2"/5cm above the soil surface.
Trunk diameter 3cm
