Rhododendron indicum /Small-Leaved Rhododendron bonsai from an old bonsai collection. Purchased at the Doncaster Bonsai Experience September 2022. An old tree with a thick trunk and huge potential. Almost guaranteed to flower in April and September each year.

The tree arrived with me in poor health, growing in a very poor quality garden soil and has massively benefited from being slowly transferred into good quality soil. It now grows in a mixture of Kanuma and pumice (to avoid problems with Kanuma breaking down) with a top dressing of pure Kanuma. This is now a very healthy tree that will only get better.

As with all bonsai available on the bonsai4me.com/shop, this tree has been treated with Danu from ProBio Carbon to encourage disease resistance and bushier, better distributed growth habit.
